Glossfest brings together two organisations, who between them have been organising community events for over 40 years.
For 40 years, Glossop Round Table have been successfully organising the annual Manor Park Bonfire event. Then in 2022 they took over the running of the Heritage and Victorian Weekend, with the aim of making it a bi-annual event.
The other partner in Glossfest is The Glossop Creative Trust who since 2010 have been organising events and festivals in the town including the Bankswood Festival from 2010- 2016, and then the Town Hall Sessions in the heart of Glossop in 2017.
Running over the second May bank holiday 23-25th May 2025, Glossfest will be an opportunity for the community of Glossop to come together at the heart of the town to celebrate with a music and beer festival in a family friendly community festival.

Our objective is to maintain Glossfest as a free festival, but putting on a high quality show is not cheap!
Whilst all the organisers are volunteers non of whom make anything from the festival, sometimes we need to bring in the pros. The Stage, The PA and engineers, the bands (Yes we pay all our musicians!)…. the list goes on, all add to the budget.
